We understand that the first few days, weeks, and months after your pup arrives are incredibly crucial for ensuring they grow up happy and healthy, and set the stage for a lifetime of peace and happiness in your home. We also understand that every family has unique needs, which is why we offer a variety of customizable training options. While we highly recommend our four week program for puppies, we also provide additional options that start at 2 weeks of training and can extend beyond four weeks as well.
As a dedicated pet owner, you have the power to decide the length of your puppy’s stay.
HOW ARE TRAINING PROGRAM WORKS
Your puppy will be integrated into the home of their trainer and will become an active member of the household while your puppy is going through training. The trainer will engage with your puppy on a daily basis in their residence until the time comes for your puppy to return home. Throughout the training period, you can anticipate receiving regular updates in accordance with your chosen communication preferences, such as text messages, phone calls, emails, and photos. Additionally, we provide weekly video updates.
We provide an enjoyable training experience for your puppy using positive encouragement, treats, and toys to assist with training. We allow puppies to explore and take their time in new situations and experiences, to mature at their own pace. All puppies are kept up to date on puppy vaccines while in training. Additionally when your puppy goes home you will be provided with a daily training journal from your puppys stay along with instructions to continue the training process once home with you.
TRAINING FOCUS POINTS
WEEK ONE
Designed for someone who would like a head start on their puppys introduction to crate training, potty training, and introduction to house manners. With one week of training, the first inital hard step of your puppy leaving its litter mates will be in the books and it may lead to quieter nights once your puppy goes home. With one week of training it will be extremely critical to continue training methods at home.
WEEK TWO
Two weeks of training allows your puppy to have additional time to be comfortable while being crated leading to less whining/barking. Potty training is also a large focus of this week, working to minimize the number of accidents and to help form an understanding of what is expected of her. We further continue house manners and also introduce some simple and basic obedience commands- such as SIT.
WEEK THREE
During week three potty training continues to be a large focus, in addition we introduce new commands and introduce your puppy to new experiences. Your puppy will learn to walk on a leash, and will further continue the elements of weeks 1 & 2 working towards perfection!
WEEK FOUR
Attention, novice puppy owners! This program is tailor-made for you and your precious pup. The comprehensive 4-week stay sets the stage for all future training endeavors. By the end of the program, your puppy will have a solid groundwork in essential commands, household etiquette, and crate/potty training. Get ready to witness your furry friend’s remarkable progress!
WEEK FIVE
Your well rounded puppy will continue to improve on training, gain new experiences, new commands. We will work on things that may distract your puppy and how to help your puppy overcome distractions.
